Twice Baked Potato Casserole

Chocolate Fudge Cake


Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup plus 3 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. TRK Pure Madagascar Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups boiling water

Preparation

Coat inside of slow cooker with cooking spray. In a small bowl, combine flour and baking powder; set aside. Melt butter and chocolate chips together in a double boiler or a heat-proof bowl set over a sauce pan of boiling water, stirring until smooth. Add sugar, 3 Tbsp. of cocoa powder, vanilla extract, salt and milk, stirring to combine. Add flour mixture to chocolate mixture, then pour into slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and remaining ¼ cup cocoa powder, then sprinkle over batter in slow cooker. Pour boiling water over top of batter, cover and cook on high for about 1 ½ hours. Once cake is cooked, turn off heat, remove lid and let sit for about 30 minutes before serving. Note: there will be a layer of chocolate sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker, spoon out this sauce with the cake when serving..
