Almond Fruit Dessert Bars


Ingredients

  • stick of butter
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1¼ tsp. TRK Pure Almond Extract
  • ¼ tsp. TRK Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup ground almonds
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • canned pie filling or pudding
  • whipped cream (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325°F. Cream the butter. Beat in sugar, milk, and the extracts. Combine the flour and almonds and blend in until just combined. Pat into bottom of 8x8x2 inch pan. Bake 20-25 minutes until light golden brown around edge. Remove from oven, let cool and cut into bars. Top with fruit pie filling or pudding and garnish with whipped cream..
