Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 5 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. TRK Black Pepper
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • Fresh dill sprigs
  • ½ lb. smoked salmon

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Using a pastry cutter, cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly. Mix in the egg and milk. Knead the dough a few times on a floured surface. Cut mini scones and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely. To serve, split the scones and add a piece of smoked salmon and a sprig of fresh dill..
